WHO IS IT FOR?

LimeLoop reusable packages are used by ecommerce brands and retailers who are shipping products such as apparel, beauty care and cosmetics, stationery and crafts, and other goods. LimeLoop reusable packaging works with both one-way shipping and naturally works well with two-way, subscription models like clothing or coffee subscriptions. . They are available for sale at the LimeLoop Shop.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The LimeLoop package is a sustainable shipping solution that is designed to be reused over and over, in place of a cardboard box or poly-mailer. When a consumer receives their product in a LimeLoop reusable package, they remove their product, flip the pre-paid return shipping label over, and drop the package back in the mailbox instead of in the trash. The package is then mailed back to the retailer so it can be used again for the next customer. As we like to say, it’s as easy as zip, flip + ship.

HOW DO I GET STARTED?

Get started by ordering reusable packages at our LimeLoop Shop and then our Reuse Specialists will guide you every step of the way.

If you don’t know which size(s) work best for your products and orders, go ahead and order samples.

WHAT DO I DO ONCE MY REUSABLE PACKAGES HAVE ARRIVED?

In just 3 easy steps, your reusable packages are ready for use:

1. Communicate your reuse program with internal stakeholders, such as your e-commerce operations team, fulfillment team, and marketing and PR team.

2. Manage your reuse program through your existing e-commerce platform. If using Shopify, our LimeLoop Shopify app makes it easy

   • Create SKUs for reusable packages for inventory management

   • Set up customer programs or incentives around reusable packaging

   • Add instructions and reminders to customers for returning the packages

   • Include prepaid return shipping labels for customers

3. Launch your reuse program by going live with fulfilling orders in reusable packages.

These optional steps are also worth considering:

4. (Optional) Decide on any programs or incentives to offer customers to encourage participation in your reuse program such as offering a discount off their next order for returning the package! Our Reuse Specialists can guide you.

5. (Optional) Create inserts for the reusable packages to show your brand and provide your customers with instructions in the package on how to return. We’ll provide you with a template design to get started quickly!

IS THE PACKAGE WATERPROOF?

Our packages are made from upcycled billboard vinyl that is water-resistant, durable, and lightweight. No more soaked-through cardboard boxes at your customers doorsteps!

CAN YOU DO CUSTOMIZED BRANDING?

Our off-the-shelf packages are designed to be sleek and to pair well with any branding. Many of our customers incorporate custom branding via 5×7 branded postcard inserts. If using a zip-tie or string to secure the package, another opportunity is to use one that is on brand with your products or brand colors.

DO THE PACKAGES ONLY SHIP WITH USPS? 

The reusable packages are carrier agnostic and have been designed to fit within carriers’ constraints including FedEx, UPS, DHL, USPS, and others at no extra shipping cost.

For the return shipping label, we recommend using USPS as the most convenient and cost-effective carrier. With USPS, your customers can leave the empty reusable package at their mailbox for pickup, drop off with other outgoing USPS mail (such as in an apartment building), or drop off in a USPS blue bin.cription
